Obituary

Losey, Arthur G. "Art" of West Allis went home to meet his Lord Jesus and His beloved wife, Shirley (nee Wentworth) on November 12th at the age of 94 years. Art and Shirley were married for 59 years at the time she returned to the Lord this past January. Dear father of Judy Hilzer, Terry (Susie), Richard (Maira), Paul (Pat), Linda (Roger) Epley, Tim (Pam), John (Lois), Mark (Jennifer). Arthur is also survivied by 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Losey, Arthur G. "Art" of West Allis went home to meet his Lord Jesus and His beloved wife, Shirley (nee Wentworth) on November 12th at the age of 94 years. Art and Shirley were married for 59 years at the time she returned to the Lord this past January. Dear father of Judy Hilzer, Terry (Susie), Richard (Maira), Paul (Pat), Linda (Roger) Epley, Tim (Pam), John (Lois), Mark (Jennifer). Arthur is also survivied by 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He is further survivied by his sisters, Lucy Duga and De Etta (Norbert) Dettlaff, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Art was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, an unborn child and his son Ronarld, son-in-law Stan Hilzer and many other relatives.
Art was born in Chilton, WI to Howard and Harriet (nee Bancroft) Losey. As an adolescent he worked on a neighboring farm. He served in the CCC's in the 1930's and the US Army during WWII. Following the war, Art then worked for the Milwaukee Road/Amtrak for 33 years. He always found room to devote quality time to his family whether it was playing cards, going on a picnic to Sandy Beach, riding to Chicago on the Milwaukee Road, helping with a paper route or attending a school or Church function.
Art, with Shirley at his side, volunteered for Youth Club at Apostle Presbyterian Church and the West Allis Senior Center. He loved to play cards while visiting with family and friends. Art was a very gentle and caring man who loved unconditionally. The family extends gratitude to his friends at the The Landmark of West Allis. Also, the staffs at Lutheran Home and Allay Hospice who compassionatly cared for Art in his final years.
Memorial Service Monday November 19 at 6 PM at Apostle Presbyterian Church, 1509 S. 76th St., West Allis. Inurnment Private. Visitation Monday, at the Church from 4PM until time of Service.
