Arthur K. "Buddy" Payne of Roseville passed away on March 27 from age related causes. He was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on April 3, 1925 to Hazel and Arthur K. Payne Sr.

He is survived by his loving companion, Dolores Coberly, and his children Christine Collatt, Cottage Grove, Or.; Peggy Green, Auburn, Ca; Robert Payne, Auburn, Ca; and grandchildren Travis and Tara Payne. Another son, Gary, preceded him in death a year ago.

Art was a United States Navy veteran and retired grocery store manager. He loved being outdoors, dogs, the New York Yankees, Sacramento Kings and ping pong.

There will be no services per his request. Friends and loved ones are welcome to donate to an animal shelter of their choice in his memory.
