Visitation will be at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 10, 2014.

Arthur left his earthly life on Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was predeceased two years ago by his wife of 65 years, Loretta. Born on March 12, 1920, in Mayberry, Virginia, he was the son of William Franklin and Susan Marshall Quesinberry.

Arthur was a World War II veteran and retired as a Master Chief Boatswain's Mate after a 30-year career in the U.S. Navy. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years, serving in a variety of positions including deacon and Sunday School teacher. With his wife Loretta, he provided musical entertainment at nursing homes throughout the Columbia area for over 15 years. He was known for his green thumb and his yard and flowers were admired by many. He enjoyed playing a competitive game of Scrabble and entertaining others with his vast repertoire of songs. Arthur was also an avid sports fan, following NASCAR, the St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves and USC Gamecocks.

Surviving are his daughters, Jennifer Burley (Carroll) and Donna Eddings; sons, Ronald A. Quesinberry and Danny R. Quesinberry (Curtys); ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two brothers, Daniel J. Quesenberry of Winston-Salem, N. C. and Delmon P. Quesinberry of Chesapeake, Va. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, three brothers and two sisters.

The family would like to thank their friends for their continued prayers and support. Special thanks to the staff of Sterling House on Parklane for their loving care of “Mr. Q.”

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 500 S. Kilbourne Road, Columbia, S.C. 29205 or to a charity of one’s choice.

The family will receive visitors at the home of Danny Quesinberry, 403 Woodlands Ridge Road, Columbia, S.C. 29229.
