Flores, Arturo
Passed in peace Sunday March 30, 2014 at the age of 89. Arturo "Tudy" was born on December 13th 1924 in Mission Texas. He was a son of Antonio and Juanita Flores of Mission, Texas. Arturo is survived by his wife Guadalupe Flores of McAllen, sons; Arturo "Tudy" Rene Flores of McAllen, Ricardo "Richie" (Lilia) Flores of Houston, Eduardo "Eddie" (Iveth) Flores if San Antonio; seven grandchildren, his sister Emma Galindo of the Woodlands and many nieces and nephews.
Arturo graduated from Mission High School in 1941 and joined the Navy soon after. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as a youth and continued those activities with his sons. Tudy was a devoted husband; father, brother, uncle and grandfather to his family. Tudy was always ready to support his family when his help and guidance was needed. He was a tireless soul who never failed his friends or family. We will miss his strength; we will miss his wisdom; we will miss his presence; we will try to live our lives like he lived his. We will try to be just like him; we will live on for him, until we can see him again.
His family would like to thank the staff at Alfredo Gonzalez Veterans home in McAllen. The care they exhibit for all our veterans in their charge is greatly appreciated. They are God's angels sent to help families in need.
Family will receive friends today, Wednesday April 2nd from 10:00-1:00pm at Funeraria del Angel located at 3611 N. Taylor Rd. Mission Tx. 78573.
