I am in shock learning of Audrey's death. Audrey was one of the most "alive" people I know. I met her though ACDA. We became friends while attending the biennial conferences in Mundelein, IL. I looked forward to catching up with her at our meetings. I worked more closely with her when I became President of ACDA and she was VP-Pres. Elect. I continued to work with her as Past President. I will miss her presence at our meetings.

I had great respect for her energy, enthusiasm, drive, prefessionalism, thoughtfulness, kindness to others and the other wonderful qualities that many others have mentioned about her in this guest book.

She not only played a big roll in ACDA and the local ARMA chapter, but she was also a big part of the St. Louis Area Religious Archivists group.
I last saw her in August when we attended the SAA Conference in San Diego. She looking forward to taking the last part of the CRM exam, so that she could be have the distinction of being a Certified Records Manager.

May her light shine on in the darkness and good works live on in the lives of the many people she has touched.

My condolences to her husband and family. Although I did not know you, she spoke of you with great pride and great humor. Please know that you are in my prayers.

Gary, John, Gary and the entire Powderly family.
Audrey certainly was a bright star in my life ever since she came to work in the Archives. I worked with her from the beginning and she was the very best boss anyone could have.
I miss her terribly and will continue to do so for a long time. After she became ill and we realized she would not be back I felt a tremendous void in my life. Just know that Audrey was the best, most thoughtful, considerate person we could have ever had as the director of the Archives.
Gary, John, Gary and the entire Powderly family has my sincere condolences and prayers at this very difficult time. She can now be with dad, mom, and nephew and continue to be the glue that holds uou and all of us in the Archives together.

Gary,

I am deeply saddened to learn of Audrey's passing. It was a genuine pleasure to see her on the occasions I dropped into St. Louis to see you. I will always remember dinner and "music in the park" on that July evening back in 2008. I looked forward to Audrey's letters each Christmas, updating me on the activities of the Newcomer family. Until you see her again someday, keep your memories close and they will comfort you. You're in my prayers, my friend.

We've lost a lovely physical presence, but I know she'll be your most effective advocate in heaven!

Laboure class of 71

Being a classmate of Audrey'sat Laboure High, I can tell you that she is being remembered as one of the sweetest girls we knew. Often times she was so soft spoken but ready to have fun and quick to smile. Classmates were so glad to have been able to reconnect with her at our reunion and were planning on seeing her again in June. She will be sorely missed. Our condolences and prayers for the family at this time.
