Aurorita De Guzman Aspacio
She was very generous..always giving. On many occasions especially like this Easter, she would come to our church on base surprising us ladies with corsage made of those beautiful orchids that she & Pro grew themselves in their yard.
Of course, she made us feel good and important without asking anything in return. I think, just to see our happy faces was enough reward to her. She didn't know that she was more beautiful inside and out than those orchids. Very kind-hearted, modest, gentle and pious and being non-judgmental person that she was, she never knew how to speak ill or negative about anybody. Even private or in groups, she would talk to you in a very pleasant and inspiring manner. Everybody knows Church was her second home and her family says she was like that since she was young...and prayers were not just for herself and her family but also for a long list of people she knew and even those she didn't know especially the sick like my sister in Canada. Everytime I saw her, she asked me how my sister was doing and I told her that all our prayers including hers work wonders.
She had lengthy bouts with the big C, yet we have never seen her showing emotions of bitterness. Instead her faith in God deepened. God was her stronghold and that gave her longer hopes and prolonged and happy LIFE. The most important thing in her life was serving God and spreading HIS word and HIS goodness. Always we saw her beaming with smiles being so congenially friendly. I haven't forgotten her happy stories when she was recalling having worked as a nurse in Bulacan in the Philippines. She said she enjoyed it there with the friends she made whom she said treated her like a member of their own family. She said she was treated like their own daughter where she was staying and she kept that relationship and visited them each time they go back to the Philippines. She had touched a lot of lives like mine. She was such a respectable and lovable lady in every sense. Her exemplary character and her persona are indeed shining traits to follow. Thank you so much for these gifts and those beautiful orchid corsage. Thank you for joining us at the dance last Valentine's Day. I had a great pleasure dancing with you and watching you & Pro danced that night.
Together with your beloved husband Pro, your children Dexter & family and Dave, siblings: Flerida, Vicente Jr., Romy, relatives and friends, it pains us losing you. We will miss you dearly Auring especially in our church and your voice in the choir. But we will take comfort knowing you are now with our dear Lord and enjoying singing with the Angels' Choir in Heaven. Eternal rest to you our dear Auring and let perpetual light shine upon you.
