Barbara Ann Shelley, age 77, passed away quietly on November 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Barbara Shelley was born on February 8, 1940 in Umatilla, Florida to Annie and Charlie Rich. Barbara and Robert were married on December 24, 1970 and resided in Florida for a short time before making Houston, Texas their permanent home. Barbara lived life to the fullest by spending time with her family and friends, and deeply loved her daughters and grandchildren. She had a love for gambling, fishing, cook offs, crafting, and collecting stuffed bears. Barbara was a go getter who had the ability to light up the room and brought a positive light to all those around her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Taylor (Kevin) of Porter, Texas and Rebecca Richardson (Thomas) of Conroe, Texas; her loving grandchildren, Edward Lee Wiley, Mark Alan Richardson, Bobbie LeeAnn Richardson and many nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kingwood Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home followed by interment at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Barbara's name to Breast Cancer Research or the Friendship Center, 21675 McCleskey Rd, New Caney, TX 77357.
