Gram I'm sorry I didn't make it down but I know you understand. I was lucky enough to live next door and spend a ton of time with you and Pap for the first decade of my life. I feel bad my younger brother and sister didn't get as much an opportunity to make so many good memories like I did. I remember your great cooking especially when you made your ham with coke on it. I think that's where my pop addiction started from. I remember you and pap would pay me a penny per rock to clean the gravel out of your flowerbeds. I remember shopping with you and going out to eat at my favorite When Rax was still here. I remember your arguments with drunken Dacian. I remember going to Ames when pap ran the store. I remember watching old war movies and learning about history. I remember doing puzzles, crosswords, and playing cards. I remember setting up all the army men and we would have a real battle knocking them down with marbles. I remember you took me to Chuckie Cheese and I put a whole pile of hot pepper flakes on my pizza trying to show off and then pap ended up having to eat it. Watching you guys I learned what true love really is. I have never seen 2 people that were so in touch with each other. I remember writing you letters back and forth the first several years when you moved away to Florida. We missed you like crazy. As time when on I didn't see or talk to you as much as I would have liked too. You get busy with the real world and there is not enough time in the day. I will cherish the times I did get to come down and stay with you. You guys were the best hosts and always took such good care of my family and I. I'm not a big believer in religion or spirits but the night after you passed as I was going to sleep I could smell your house for just a few minutes. It is a unique smell that I have only experienced at your house. Not sure if it was a scent you sprayed or detergent you used and I don't know what that meant but maybe it was a sign that you were with me those few minutes. Everyone please cherish the time you have with your grandparents. You never know when it might be the last time you get to see them. I am comforted a little by the last time I did see you I know we shared a big hug and told each other Loved you. But I do regret not getting to see or talk to you more than I did. I love you and will never forget you. - Bry
