Barbara Jane (Busch, Martin) Galloway passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Yuma, AZ from a lingering illness.
Barbara was born in Mt Vernon, Washington in 1945 to Carl and Helen (Lange) Busch. She was the oldest of three, having one brother, Carl (Busch) Martin, and one sister, Patty (Martin) Nichols. Her biological father passed away in 1949 and her mother remarried in 1952 to Jack Martin, who adopted Barbara and Carl and became the "dad" they knew and loved.

The family moved to Idaho Falls in 1957 and Barbara graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1963.
Her career included a stint of being a hair stylist in Ephrata, WA where she lived with an aunt for a period of time. She later moved back to Idaho Falls and worked at an answering service, was the voice of the Ski Report for a local radio station for a period of time, worked for the State of Idaho as a Developmental Technician, worked for a short time at Sam's Club and later for an independent company as a Developmental Workforce counselor.

She met her husband John D. Galloway while working at the answering service. He fell in love with her sweet voice and constantly called to talk to her. They were married November 27, 1981 in Idaho Falls, and spent time living in Idaho Falls, Shelley and Ammon. They had recently moved to Yuma, AZ to enjoy their retirement years together
.
Her hobbies included interior decorating, breeding Pekinese dogs, traveling, and of course taking cruises. She was known as "the Sugar Plum Princess" by several of the neighborhood children. One of her greatest joys was showing her magnificent "Black Pearl" girl at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

She is survived by her adoptive father, Jack Martin of Yuma, AZ; brother, Carl Martin of Colbert, WA; and sister, Patty Nichols of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her biological father, Carl Busch and her mother Helen Martin.
Per her request, there will be no funeral services. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Idaho Falls and will be announced on her Facebook page.
Friends and family can post comments on the Funeraria Del Angel Mortuary website at www.FunerariadelAngelYuma.com. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that takes our breath away."

"I called Barbara's phone in Idaho today and it was disconnected. I wanted to tell her "Baby Girl" is 12 years old today. I bought her"Pekingese" 4 month..." Debbie Nadon (Eureka, MT)
