BURROWS, Barry Wayne
January 11, 1939 – February 1, 2013
Barry passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2013 at the age of 74 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Barry is survived by his four children, Cindy (John) Pioro of Calgary, Dean (Sharon) of Calgary, Todd (Rita) of Victoria, BC and Troy of Edmonton; six grandchildren, Tara (Todd) Fitchett, Brittany, Kelsey and Ashley of Calgary, Kristen and Tyson of Victoria, BC; one great granddaughter Sierra of Calgary; brother Bev Burrows of Kingston, ON; sister Barb Christensson of Edmonton and two foster sisters, Mary Fortin and Donna Ferguson as well as numerous other relatives. He will be remembered in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Barry's Life will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 – 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca.

Cindy, Dean , Todd and Troy so sorry to hear that your dad passed away. I know you have lots of good memories. I recall him dancing me around the floor at a family wedding when I was a teenager. I felt like I was a great dancer (even though I stomped his toes a few times), but really he was great at leading... Great memory.
Barry was always very kind to me. Kindness is a wonderful legacy.
