Beatrice Boyd "Bea" Ambrose, 88, died Wednesday, April 9, 3014 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Archie Gilmer officiating; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.
Bea was born in Pitt County on January 14, 1926, daughter of the late Jim Oliver and Jennie Angel Boyd. She was retired from Hamilton Beach where she worked as a Supervisor on the Knife Line. On July 1, 1953 she married James Claude Ambrose Sr who preceded her in death. She was a member of Macedonia Christian Church.
Survivors are a son James Claude Ambrose Jr and wife Patrice of Williamston, sister Lucinda Smith of Washington, grandchildren Adam Wesley Ambrose, Caleb Jordan Ambrose, Kerry Dale Ambrose and Jennie Melissa Ambrose.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 9305 US Hwy 17 S Williamston, NC.
