Benjamin Davis Adkins
HAUGHTON LA – Services for Benjamin Davis Adkins, 75, will be held on July 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Airline Drive Church of Christ with Pastor Ben Brewster officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Airline Drive Church of Christ.
Davis was born on October 2, 1936 in Coushatta Louisiana and went to be with the Lord at his home in Haughton on July 14, 2012. Davis' core values of God, Country, and Family showed with everything he did in life. He loved his family and church family deeply. Davis loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to fish and hunt with his son every chance he got. He enjoyed being in the outdoors which is why he loved his job as an engineering tech. with Mohr and associates.
Davis was preceded in death by his Dad, Benjamin Basel Adkins. He is survived by, his mother Doris Pauline Veatch Adkins; His loving wife Martha Adkins; son, Ronald Davis Adkins and wife Lee Ann; daughter, Theresa Rogers and husband David; two grandchildren Danyelle and Justin Adkins; brother, Johnny Rae Adkins and step-brother James Darrell Merritt.
Honoring as pallbearers will be Andy Craig, Dale Rachel, Mike Harland, David Pattridge, Clint Ferguson, Jerry Lee, Randy Murphree and Jay Edwards.
