Benjamin S. Tavarez, wonderful and loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away very peacefully, into the arms of his Savior, at dawn, on Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014, in his home in Lakewood. He was preceded in death by his older son, Dennis Paul. He is survived by his wife of 64 year, Alice, daughters Lisa (Robert) and Christy (Steve) and son Steve (Dana) and his precious eight grandchildren, Gregory, Danielle, Anthony, Steven, Anna, Kara, Gabriella, and Allison. He was a man full of joy, and always looked at life as a blessing. In turn, he blessed so many people, and lived life to its fullest. He appreciated each...
Benjamin S. Tavarez, wonderful and loving Husband, Father and Grandfather, passed away very peacefully, into the arms of his Savior, at dawn, on Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014, in his home in Lakewood. He was preceded in death by his older son, Dennis Paul. He is survived by his wife of 64 year, Alice, daughters Lisa (Robert) and Christy (Steve) and son Steve (Dana) and his precious eight grandchildren, Gregory, Danielle, Anthony, Steven, Anna, Kara, Gabriella, and Allison. He was a man full of joy, and always looked at life as a blessing. In turn, he blessed so many people, and lived life to its fullest. He appreciated each and every day he had on this earth. He will be greatly missed, but he has left a permanent imprints on our hearts. His life is one that we will aspire to and remember forever. Visitation and Rosary are Monday, 2/24, from 5:00-9:00 pm, (Rosary begins at 7:30) at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary, 5161 E. Arbor Road, Long Beach, 90808. Funeral Services are Tuesday 2/25, at 10:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 3954 Palo Verde Ave, Long Beach, 90808.
