Bernadette Hallisey, 97 of Sarasota, Fl passed away June 8, 2012. Born May 6th, 1915 in Boston, Massachusetts, she moved to Sarasota with husband Bill and 3 children in 1960. Bernadette was predeceased by her husband Bill, long time chef at the Buccaneer Inn, and daughter Elaine and grandson Stephen Hall. She leaves behind daughter Hazel Marquis, son William (Kathryn) Hallisey, grandsons Christopher Hallisey (Denise), Michael Marquis, Scott Hallisey, great grandchildren Ashley, Ryley, Matthew and Nicholas and many nieces and nephews. Bernadette was predeceased by her husband Bill, long time chef at the Buccaneer Inn, and daughter Elaine and grandson Stephen Hall.
She leaves behind daughter Hazel Marquis, son William (Kathryn) Hallisey, grandsons Christopher Hallisey (Denise), Michael Marquis, Scott Hallisey, great grandchildren Ashley, Ryley, Matthew and Nicholas and many nieces and nephews.
A lifelong Catholic, Bernadette was a homemaker who enjoyed baking and hosting family parties. An avid reader she was also a gentle, giving person who volunteered for many years for the Sarasota Council of Concern, working in their Mustard Seed Shop.
