Berta G. (Ottomami) Garza, 97, went into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in Brownsville, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melquiades Gonzalez and Rafaela Hinojosa; sisters: Angelica Salinas, Manuela Gonzalez, San Juanita Gonzalez; brother: Melquides Gozalez Jr.; sister-in-law: Dora Gonzalez (Ramos); husband: Octavio A. Garza, and son-in-law: Rogerio A. Guerra.
Ms. Garza is survived by her daughter: Maria Del Carmen; granddaughter: Berta Alicia Guerra; grandson: Alfonso E. Guerra; nieces: Sylvia Gonzalez, Aide G. Escobar; nephew: Rolando Garza
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 1pm to 5pm at Sanchez funeral home 301 E. 2ND ST Rio Grande City, Tx 78582 (956)487-2525. Visitation will continue Friday, August 26, 2016 from 1pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Mass will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 555 W. St. Francis, Brownsville, Tx. at 11:00am. Committal service to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Carlos Cantú, Rene Contreras, Marco Escobar, Noé Escobar, Ernesto Lerma, Ray Lerma
