Bertha Aebersold, 89 passed away on March 20, 2013 at her residence.
She was born in Louisville on April 13, 1923 to Louis and Bessie Payton.
She had worked at Williams Shoe Store for many years.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Charlie Aebersold (Lynda) and Jerry Aebersold; four daughters, Patricia King (Paul), Paula Aebersold, Mary Aebersold (Don), and Deborah Gibson (David); five grandchildren, Angela Aebersold, Charles Aebersold, Jr., Megan, Ryan and Adrian Gibson; five great-grandchildren, Bill, Aaron and Briana Nolan, Louis Aebersold and Brady Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews; and a special thanks to her "third" son, Garry Collett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis Marion Aebersold; three brothers, George, James and Louis Payton; five sisters, Ruby Miller, Louise Murphy, Celesta Miller, Bessie Sanders and Emma Sanders.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to American Cancer Society or American Kidney Foundation.
