Bessle Delon Hale age 88, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, Hiram & Pearly Hale; son, Gregory Delon Hale; sister, Juanita Vantrease. Survived by loving wife of 66 years, Eva H. Hale; sister-in-law, Billie Pierce; brother-in-law, Jim (Betty) Hunley; several nieces and nephews. Delon graduated from North High School. Delon served in the US Navy as a pontoon Seabee during the invasions of Iwo Jima & Okinawa. After serving in the US Navy Delon attended Peabody College. Delon retired from the Nashville Gas Company after 43 years of service. Visitation Monday, May 19th from 12pm till time of service at Hermitage Funeral Home. Funeral Service Monday, May 19th 2pm at Hermitage Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Hermitage Funeral Home 889-0361.
