So very sad to hear this news. I loved her themed spin classes...I was always up front and many many times shouted out the right answer too quickly! She will be missed.

What a shocking, untimely loss!!!
So very sorry for Betsy's family; she was a strong, yet kind and loving lady. We often chatted after Saturday spin class, discussing the challenges of combining work, and raising our children, who are in the same age bracket. We also shared our mutual delight with our grandchildren! May you find peace in your memories of her.

Betsy was a cycle instructor colleague who backed me up countless times, when no one else was available. She could save the day and cover when no one else could. Yes she was a team player, but she truly loved teaching and was dedicated to inspiring her class with her passion for cycling and fitness. I've taken her cycle class many times because I was inspired by the way she coached all the levels of cycling. She could honestly relate to someone training for a race or someone there to get a workout. My deepest condolences to her family. She touched and inspired many including me.
Sincerely,
Gina Keeler

It was a pleasure to know Betsy...not only as a friend but as a fellow exercise Instructor at the YMCA. You learn a lot about someone when you spend 2 or 3 times a week exercising together! She was always positive and interested in our lives...the YMCA wasn't a job to her...it was a way of life. She loved to exercise and challenge us in class but I'm not sure she knew how much she inspired us to be better people. She always had a ton of things going on....and she always made you feel as though this Spin class was the highlight of her day!
I know her greatest achievement was her family. Alex...you know I adore you and if you are any indication of how well Betsy raised her children then I know she is happy. She did her job and no Mother can ask for anything greater in life.
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.
