Betty A. Fritz, age 89, of Penn Yan, NY passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 10th, 2017.
Betty was born in Millerton, Pennsylvania on June 30, 1928, the daughter of the late, Vern and Charlotte Adams. Betty retired from Westinghouse in Bath, NY. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1519 of Penn Yan and a member of the Penn Yan Women's Club. She loved bowling and playing cards, especially playing a great hand of Euchre. She enjoyed passing time at the casino. Betty was a very self-sufficient lady, who was very independent. She took very good care of her home and even trimmed her lawn and shrubs by herself.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband Charles Fritz in 1983; her siblings, Hattie Tillitson, Louise Fish, Helen Kretchmer, Lucy Matteson, and Jerome Adams. She is survived by Twelve Nieces and Nephews, several cousins; and many special and dear friends.
Friends and family may gather for a graveside service celebrating her life on Friday, September 15th, 2017 at 2pm at the Bellona Cemetery in Bellona, NY. Memorial donations may be made in Betty's memory to the Keuka Comfort Care Home, PO Box 107, Penn Yan, NY 14527.
