Betty Ann Binion Keys, 88, of Paris, passed away Thursday, December 01, 2016, at Pine Tree Ranch Assisted Living.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3rd, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright with Rev. Stuart Baskin officiating. A formal visitation is not scheduled, however, friends may pay respects at the funeral home.
Mrs. Keys, the daughter of Paschal & May Tate Binion, was born April 29, 1928, in Dallas. She graduated from Highland Park High School and Austin College. She married Rev. Felix W. Keys, Jr., and their life in the ministry took them to many cities including San Antonio, Marlin, Paris, Marshall, and Tyler.
She was a member of AAUW. Betty enjoyed theater, the symphony and the Rose Festival in Tyler. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Felix, a son, Roger Nelson Keys, and a cousin, Janice Johnson.
Survivors include three children, Martha Gilmore & husband Jack of Temple, Stuart Keys & wife Kim of Paris and Laura Jackson & husband Rusty of Powderly, grandchildren: Dustin Keys & wife Tiffanie, Brandon Keys & wife Brittney, Russell Jackson, Jr. & wife Cassie, Jonathan Jackson & wife Jordan and Jason Gilmore, great grandchildren: Hudson Keys, Kylie, Claire, Carter, Kelsey, Josephine, and Jaimeson Jackson, siblings: Donald Binion & wife Janet and Barry Binion & wife Mary, a cousin, Julie Johnson along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
Honorary casket bearers will be: Dustin Keys, Brandon Keys, Russell Jackson, Jr., Jonathan Jackson, Hudson Keys, Carter Jackson and Jaimeson Jackson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to: First Presbyterian Church, 230 W. Rusk St., Tyler, TX 75701; PATH, 402 W. Front St., Tyler, TX 75702 or St. Jude Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Pine Tree Ranch Assisted Living, On Call Hospice, and Christi Bruce and Kathy Henry, her sitters, for the care given their loved one.
