Betty Dittmann Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 22, 2015.

Betty Jo Dittmann, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at MorningStar Senior Living in Idaho Falls.
She was born December 16, 1932, in Owensboro, Kentucky to James W. and Suerillian Cheshire. She married Klaus 'Ditty' Dittmann on September 4, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan, and was employed at General Motors for 30 years. When they retired in 1985, Betty Jo and Ditty moved to Sedona, Arizona, where they enjoyed new friends, golf and the beautiful scenery. After Ditty passed away in 2011, she moved to Idaho Falls to be close to her daughter and son-in-law.
Betty Jo is survived by her daughter Heidi Urbanski (Charlie) of Idaho Falls, and her little dog and constant companion Toby. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
We cannot thank the staff at MorningStar enough. They cared for Betty Jo and treated her, Heidi, and Charlie as family. The CloudNine Agency and Hearts for Hospice provided much appreciated support throughout her final weeks.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at Christ Lutheran Church in Sedona, Arizona.
