Betty Jo (Goff) Hayden, 52, of Newburgh, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016, at her home. She was born on Mother's Day, May 10, 1964, in Evansville to the late Richard and Dianah (Oldham) Goff.
She was a professional student majoring in five different liberal arts programs at the University of Southern Indiana. She currently lived in Newburgh, but had lived in Evansville the majority of her life. Betty loved the Green Bay Packers, liberal politics, and pro wrestling. She was a lifelong Democrat.
Betty is survived by her partner, Mike Ijames of Newburgh; daughter, Jasmine Sturgill; sons, Larry (Melissa) Yarde, Richard (Adrienne) Westbrook, and Jacob (Nichole) Goff, all of Evansville; grandchildren, Kiernan Sturgill, Annabelle, Lawrence, and Rosealeen Yarde, Luna and Griffin Westbrook, and Freya and Sara Goff; sister, Gretchen (Humphreys) Pickerill; and a slew of pets.
Memorial Services will be 6:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2016, at Alexander East Chapel. Friends may visit Friday from 2:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. The family asks that guests attending the services please wear Green Bay or NFL gear instead of formal wear.

Very sorry for the family's loss. Betty was a very caring person and we enjoyed, recent, spirited debates but we were friends.
We hung out at Dusty's when my folks would go there.
