Betty Lee Rutherford Jager, 81, of Blessing, TX, lost her battle to Pancreatic Cancer and gained her Angel Wings on April 27, 2017. She was born September 29, 1935 in Freeport, TX to the late Earl Cordell and Blanche Edna Blackmon Patton. She was a faithful, loving mother who spent her time as a homemaker ensuring that her family's needs were met.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Jager; daughters, Linda Carol Rease (Eugene) of Victoria, TX, Tanya Anita Watson (Johny "Will") of Angleton, TX and Doris Marie Bengtson (Floyd "Keith") of Lake Jackson, TX. Her six children blessed her with 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Rutherford; daughter, Janie Leigh Adams; sons, Gordon Eugene Rutherford, Kenneth Wayne Rutherford; parents; sisters, Doris Joy Aucoin, Fannie Marie Edgar, Edna Earl Kerley and brother, Tommy Patton.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Palacios, TX with Louis Rush officiating. Her final resting place will be at Restwood Cemetery's Mosolium.
Betty loved her Savior and is now at Home with Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident , I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord"

We will miss her smile, her love for the Lord and concern she had for each one of us. I will miss her hugs. We were so blessed to have her as a part of our Church Family and in our Sunday School Class. Our prayers are with you all. Carl you were so blessed and such a cute couple.
