Betty and I were friends and next door neighbors growing up on Allendale Road, New Brighton. She was always fun to be around and exuded warmth and understanding, a lovely person from the early teens when I first knew her. I live in South Carolina and didn't know of her passing until yesterday (Feb 8th). My deepest condolences and sincere prayers to her family and to all those who loved her.
