Betty,

I'm sorry I missed saying goodbye to you; you'll be missed very much. I always loved your laugh and smile. Thanks for the delicious cookies and angel cake. It was always a nice surprise for the family. The kids really enjoyed your baking. Daniel must be very happy to have Grandma with him. Share your cakes with everyone up in Heaven, but save a slice for me! Most of all, thank you for giving me the best friend I've ever had, Shirley.

Love,

"Grandmas hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever."

Grandma Betty was and will always be the sweetest, bravest, strongest, most beautiful, careless, amazing grandmother and person I have ever known. She was the best grandmother anyone could ask for, and so much more than that. For her to be in my life was beyond a blessing, and for her to have lived this long is a miracle. She will always be an inspiration to me and to many, and will always remain in the hearts of the people who have had the privilege of having her in their lives.

Now, she is with my brother, and the rest of her family who have passed, as well as her Heavenly family. She is smiling and laughing and singing and dancing and she is truly pain-free. And I know she will always be watching over me and my family.

I love you, Grandma. I know you'll be right there waiting for me, with open arms, when it's my time. Until then, I will forever keep you in my heart.

I have known Betty since I was an infant, as Shirley and I were childhood friends. She is one of the warmest and caring people I have ever known. When we lived by the river in Mason City Iowa, my family was flooded many times and Betty took us in and did all she could to help us. I will never forget her kindness! Thank you so much for being such a wonderful friend Betty!

It seems almost impossible that you are gone. I miss you every day and think about you every day. I'm going to miss you tremendously, but I know you are watching down on us from Heaven and you are with Daniel and everyone else who has gone before us. I'd like to think this sense of calmness I have about you passing is just a sense of peace that you have provided me. I am very thankful I was able to spend the amount of time I did with you before you left this world; I think it prepared me for a world without you. I love you Grandma, with all of my heart, and I would not be the same person I am without you in my life. Until we meet again, I love you.

Although I did not see Aunt Betty often, when I did, she always made me feel as one of her own. She had a huge heart, great smile and a wonderful laugh. Her children and grandchildren are a testament to what a wonderful mother and grandmother she was and her integrity and tenacity will live on in them. Rest in Peace, Aunt Betty.

Love you Mom forever. I Miss all of our phone calls and visits. I miss going to the store for you. I know you are with the Lord and all of your family members. I am happy that Daniel has his Grandma with him. We prayed over you on that last day and the Priest said that you need to take Daniel's hand and he will show you all around the kingdom. I know we will meet again someday. You were the best Mother and Grandmother we could have ever wished for. I do miss your Laugh and your smile.
