BETTY GAIL STRADER, age 60 of Monroe passed away Saturday December 29, 2012. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a secretary for the GA Forestry Commission serving Morgan and Walton County's. She also appraised property for the Walton Co. Board of Commissioner's. She was a member of the South West Florida Archeologist Society and Volunteered at the Barrow County Museum and the Barrow County Historic Preservation Society. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. John Thomas Hendon Sr. and Mrs. Blanche Sweet McLain Hendon and a sister Charlotte Bracey. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Strader of Bonita Springs FL. Two brothers, Blake McLain Hendon of Monroe and John T. Hendon JR of Blairsville. Two sisters, Carol Selando of Winder and Jackie Beck of Buchanan. Several nieces and nephews survive. A memorial service will be held at a later date with family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The Ronald McDonald Foundation for Children or The Hepatitis C Foundation. Smith Funeral Home, Winder GA is in charge of the arrangements.
