Obituary

Beulah Aquilina Ahysen, beloved mother, daughter, nanie, sister and aunt, was called to be with our Lord on February 1, 2012. Beulah was born on September 2, 1928, in Port Arthur, Texas to Marion and Angela Aquilina. Beulah lived a prayful, faith-filled life. While living in Port Arthur, she was educated in the St. James Catholic Schools and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She also served as manager of Eddingston Court Apartments and was a member of St. James Catholic Church, where she participated in the altar society. Beulah Aquilina Ahysen, beloved mother, daughter, nanie, sister and aunt, was called to be with our Lord on February 1, 2012. Beulah was born on September 2, 1928, in Port Arthur, Texas to Marion and Angela Aquilina. Beulah lived a prayful, faith-filled life. While living in Port Arthur, she was educated in the St. James Catholic Schools and attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She also served as manager of Eddingston Court Apartments and was a member of St. James Catholic Church, where she participated in the altar society. After moving to Houston to be with her daughter and son-in-law, she served as secretary for the Angela Radusch School of Dance.

Beulah was devoted to her family, especially to her brothers, Sam and John Aquilina. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Angela, and her brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Radusch and husband, Steve, sister, Mary Danna Romeo, all of Houston, Texas and her grandson Kristopher Radusch of Las Vegas, Nevada. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Beulah's family is thankful for the long life she was blessed with and her endless prayers. She will be deeply missed by all.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Beulah's wonderful, loving and dedicated caregivers, Ken Harvey, Bert Garcia and the dear Vitas Hospice nurses and sitters. Additionally, the family would like to thank Beulah's dear friend Portia Eaglin for her indispensible assistance, day and night, with Beulah.

Pallbearers are Johnny Danna, Sam Danna, Thomas Moratto, Sr., Tim McKenna, Kristopher Radusch and Jorge San Juan. Honorary pallbearers are Marion Danna, Alvin James, Matthew Schultea and Thomas Moratto, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 12:30 pm at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, Texas 77018 with Monsignor James Anderson officiating. Rev. Roy Oggero, C.S.B. will concelebrate. Private family interment by invitation only will follow in Port Arthur, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Beulah's favorite charities.
