Beulah Givines "Boots" (Lilley) Swisher, 90, of Staunton passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Shenandoah Nursing Home.
Born on August 9, 1926 in Rockbridge County, a daughter of the late Glen Franklin and Myrtle Lula (Ludwig) Lilley.
Beulah worked for many years in the Dietary Department at Kings Daughters. Following retirement, she greatly enjoyed traveling and cruising with Shenandoah Tour groups, gardening and feeding her parakeets as well as other birds. Beulah was an avid collector of porcelain dolls and frogs. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Curtis Swisher; son, Daniel Curtis Swisher; daughter, Bonnie Stringfield; six brothers, Larry, Raymond, Roy, Mike, Bob and Jim Lilley; and four sisters, Mary Higgs, Ilene Galford, Shirley Wilkins and Mabel Arehart.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy Vaughan and husband, William of Harrisonburg and Mary Martin and husband, Steve of Lake Monticello; son-in-law, Steven Stringfield of Naperville, IL; six grandchildren, Adrienne Renner and husband, Rich, Josh Vaughan and wife, Michelle, Christopher Morris and wife, Kendra, Ken Morris, Danny Stringfield and wife, Jen Marie, and Jonathan Stringfield and wife, May; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Following a private graveside service, a memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Christopher Morris and Pastor Randy Swisher officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hospice of the Shenandoah and the Shenandoah Nursing Home for the wonderful care of Beulah and her family.
Memorial contributions in Beulah's name may be donated to the Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939.

We had a Beautiful Service for Mom. We would like to thank the Staff at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home for the Wonderful Caring and Professional care we received. They went above and beyond to take care of us during this time. We would also like to thank Pastor Randy Swisher for a Beautiful tribute to Mom and also my son, Christopher Morris for his amazing words. I want to also thank the staff for their patience with me picking and changing the music selections. I know Mom was very happy with her farewell service. We would also like to thank everyone who attended the service. We were honored and blessed to have each and everyone of you share her service with us. Also for all the kind words and prayers we appreciate you and we are so thankful.
