Beverly Robinson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 1, 2015.

Beverly Laura Earl Robinson passed away peacefully on March 30, 2015, her mother's birthday. She was born July 25, 1927 in Salt Lake City, UT, to Jonathan Earl and Laura Camilla Forsgren, the fifth of their 5 children. She married James Calvin Robinson on June 22, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of 5 children.

She graduated from South High school in 1944. She met her sweetheart, Calvin, at the University of Utah, from where she graduated with her bachelor's degree in Child Education in 1948. She loves her family and believes that being a wife, mother, and grandmother is her greatest calling and happiness. Beverly continued her mother's passion in her lifelong love of gardening. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions, most recently serving in the Salt Lake Temple.

Beverly is survived by her five children: Jim (Janice), Sue (Ron) Webb, Janet (Paul) Walton, Nancy (Steve) Gledhill, Sharon (Ron) Dewsnup, 17 grand children, and 20 great-grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin, her parents, her brothers Don and Glen Earl, and her sisters Ruth Anderson and Alice Andrus.

The family wishes to convey heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Mark's Hospital Progressive Care Unit for their kind and loving care.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2015, 11 am, at the Foothill 6th Ward, 2215 E. Roosevelt Ave. Friends and family may visit 9:30 – 10:30 am before services and 6 – 8 pm the evening prior at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 255 S 200 E in Salt Lake City. I was so sad to hear of the passing of Beverly. She and Cal were such a shinning light of how to be great Latter-day Saints. I loved visiting with them in the Salt Lake Temple where they served so faithfully. I wish I would have know about her passing in time to attend the funeral.

To the Robinson children: I recently saw your Mom's obituary in the newspaper. It reminded me what a wonderful woman she is! I have always had the highest regards for her and Cal, and our associations in the ward and elsewhere over the years. What a great family! My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this special time.

Beverly was my mom's (Lucille Thatcher) cherished friend. We have heard many wonderful stories of friendship though out the years. Watching them continue this friendship was a delight. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. I am sure that they both are having a wonderful reunion together.
