Beverly Jean Harms, 86, of Bartonville, passed away at 6:15 PM on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Sharon Health Care Center, under the care of the VITAS Hospice.
She was born on December 19, 1930 in Canton, IL to John Robinson and Goldie J. (Bath) Baxter. She married Frederick William Harms on March 13, 1948 in Peoria.
He survives along with one son Gregory (Michelle) Harms; one daughter Vickie (Mike) Graham; one sister Shirley L. Foster; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father John R. Baxter; her mother Goldie J. (Baxter) Harms; two sons Frederick William Harms, Jr. and Roger L. Harms; one grandson Frederick William Harms III; and one sister Peggy Myers.
She had worked for the Laidlaw Bus Company. She later worked in the cafeteria at Limestone Community High School from which she retired in 1998. She loved to go shopping and out to eat with her husband "Fritz" and family. She enjoyed watching butterflies, doing craft work and collecting teapots.
Beverly's family wishes to thank VITAS Hospice and the Sharon Health Care Center Willows North for the loving care they gave to Beverly.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Phil Doublestein will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to VITAS Hospice, 105 Marquette Street, Suite A, LaSalle, IL 61301, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
