Beverly Schmidt Florane passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Michel Pierre Florane for 43 years. Loving mother of Michel P. Florane Jr. (Rhonda), Sharon A. Florane, Cathy F. Oster (Joey), Sean R. Florane (Kathy), Keith W. Florane (Lisa) and Brian L. Florane (Rebeca). Daughter of the late William Schmidt and Zenobia Roy Schmidt. Proud grandmother of Jason Florane (Shannon), Justin Florane (Joli), Jared Florane, Clinton Bonnecarre (Bethany), Christopher Oster (Wendy), Jonathan Oster (Christie) and the late Brandon Bonnecarre. Great grandmother of Makayla Florane, Marissa Florane, Jaycie Florane, Gage Bonnecarre, Brandon Gene Bonnecarre, Lincoln Oster and Baby C due in November.
Beverly was born on September 15, 1931 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was a former member of the Council on Aging and enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Beverly will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
