Bev passed away peacefully in her home just shy of her 84th birthday.
She is survived by her children, Karl Holzheimer, Kim (Larry) Karmil, Karen Fernandez, and Kristi (Lloyd) Reed; 8 grandchildren, Chris (Kim), Shawn (Melissa), Stacey, Joe, Jake, Alex, Laura and Kayla; 5 great grandchildren, Courtney, Connor, Hayley, Lily and Calliope; many loving extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Pete, and her son-in-law, Dennis.
Bev was born in North Dakota and raised in the Northwest, graduated from Queen Anne High School, and enjoyed a career with Seattle First National Bank. She was an avid painter and quilter, and her gifts will be remembered by those she loved. She always welcomed us with a smile, a twinkle in her eye, and an invitation to stay for a glass of wine. Her door was always open to family and friends.
We will miss you, Mom.
A celebration of Bev's life will be held on Friday, August 3rd at 1pm at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle.

Dear Karl, Kim, Karen and Kristi,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your wonderful mother, Bev. She was always so friendly and upbeat. I treasure the painting she gave me many years ago. I am sure she is in heaven and she, Pete, and my mom and dad (Al and Betty Biggs) are planning their next golf or houseboat trip.

Her picture shows such life and joy! What a delightful insight into her younger days! I think of Bev very often since the quilt she made for Hayley has been Hayley's constant companion for 9 years, now, and I am acquainted with most of the rips and tears and stuffing escaping from here and there. It will be a family treasure and great reminder of her great grandmother.

Dear Karl and Family,
Your mom was a wonderful person. When you lived in Costa Mesa, I remember going to your house and your mom was always so welcoming. She made the atmosphere comfortable and fun, especially the night we watched the moon landing! I know that she was slipping away towards the end, but from what you said, Karl, she always remained cheerful and good humored. What a lovely and loving legacy she is leaving behind.
All our love,
John and Kathy
