Beverly Jean Alvarado passed away peacefully 8/20/12 after a brief battle with cancer. Born 7/30/35 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she relocated to Southern California where she later retired after working 20 years for Robert Shaw. She was preceded in death by her husband John, her son Abel, and son in law Theron. She is survived by her faithful dog Champ; her children Mary (Joe), Sue (John), Rick (Jan), Sherry (Frank), Sandy (Bob), Betsy (Chicklets), Ted, Dorothy (Gene), Tim (Michelle); 35 grandchildren; and 52 great grandchildren. The family will always remember her smile, especially while playing the slots or after completing a puzzle. Most of all we will miss the annual Christmas Eve celebration at her home. The pain of our loss is softened by the knowledge that she has been reunited with her beloved husband.
A viewing is scheduled for Thursday 8/23/12 from 5-8pm and services will be held Friday 8/24/12 at 1:30pm. Both will be at Crestlawn Memorial, 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside CA. (951) 689-1441.

A Mother's Love!
A Mother's Love is the most precious of all!
It can be felt all seasons winter through fall.
A Mother's Love can never truly be measured.
Only remembered, embraced and treasured.
A Mother's Love teaches you to be friendly and kind.
Respect your elders, neighbors and friends you will find.
A Mother's Love is strong and endures the test of time.
It never changes, or diminishes but remains sublime.
A Mother's Love shines through even in her final days.
Thinking of her children through the pain and faded haze.
A Mother's Love! OUR Mother's Love!
Can still be felt from the Heavens Above!

Bev, was always such a wonderful friend as we worked together at Robertshaw Controls. We ate our lunch together every day, which I still miss to this day. With her great laugh, her smile, and her generally sweet disposition Bev was a real pleasure to work with.I was always amazed at how quickly and efficiently she could always find exactly the right items on her pick list and process them. I felt that if Robertshaw could have had 2 Bevs they wouldn't have needed me or any other order pickers. My sympathy to all of the family on your loss. Dorothy Shea

I will always love and miss you dearly, Grandma Beverly. I cherish many Christmas memories at your house. I will also remember how every visit you would give me towels and dishtowels because you knew I always complained about Abel ruining them, lol. Thank you for being the BEST grandma possible!! :-)

Although I did not know you. I felt as though I did. My sister Alma Rose worked with you at Robert Shaw. She too has passed on (2009). But I know she was very fond of you - she often spoke to us of you very well. I pray that your family can accept what our good Lord has sent to them. For you will all meet again in h is presence.
