Checks can be made payable to "VAPSHCS" and mailed to:
VA Puget Sound (S-005-VOL)
1660 S Columbian Way
Seattle, WA 98108-1597

Donations may be made by Phone (206) 764-2195

or Online at: http://www.volunteer.va.gov/

About Donations to VA
VA medical center directors have authority to accept gifts pursuant to 38 USC 8301 and VHA Handbook 4721 for the general benefit of the medical center and the Veterans we serve. The Chief of Voluntary Service at each VA medical center may accept gifts that benefit the facility and its patients except for gifts for research and education. Donations provide Veteran patients with many essential services and programs that otherwise would not be available to them, such as transportation services, social service assistance, rehabilitation equipment, recreation programs, activities, homeless Veteran's services, holiday gifts, phone cards and many other options. Your donations are 100 percent tax deductible and all administrative costs for VA are already appropriated by Congress, so you can be assured your entire donation is going directly to support Veterans in the way you choose.

THAT MAN IS A SUCCESS . . .

Who has lived well,
laughed often and loved much
Who has gained the respect of
intelligent men and the love of children
Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task
Who leaves the world better than he found
it-whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem
or a rescued soul. Who never lacked appreciation
of earth's beauty or failed to express it
Who looked for the best in others and
gave the best that he had.

Very sorry to read of Bill's passing in this week's Seattle Sunday Times. A good man, a true patriot, a selfless loving husband & Father and a very giving Grandfather to my children Amanda, Ryan and Megan.

Bill and my own Father William W Griffin were a lot alike; both called Bill, both served in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam, both happily married over 65 years to wonderful women - one succumbing to Parkinson's (Ellen) the other to Alzheimer's (Doris) and both Bills lived to the ripe old age of 89.

Although Bill and I did not always see eye to eye, nor did Bill and Bill for that matter, I shall always remember and honor Bill Kline for the man that he was; always doing what he believed in was right, always kind, resilient, steadfast and with dignity and class.
