Bill J. Scoggins, 88, of Big Lake died Saturday, October 19, 2013 in a local hospital
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 22nd in Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake with Rev. J.B. Bitner officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.
Bill was born August 16, 1925 in Tioga, Texas to Earl and Geneva (DeShane) Scoggins. He was a longtime resident of Big Lake and worked for SW Fuel Company for 20 years. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Florence Porter Scoggins, his second wife Katherine Sides Scoggins and his daughter Doris Faye Gallaher.
Survivors include one brother Bobby Scoggins and wife Beth of Dallas; one sister Lou Ann Perry of Colorado City, TX; three grandchildren Jerra Kay, Steve and Mike Gallaher; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend Lois Warman of San Angelo.
