Dearest Billie and Ruthie,
I remember when we hosted your RISD retirement party and in the room walked your Dad. He was bigger than life as he worked the room, visiting all the guests and soon had everyone laughing, ready for the party at the end of a long workday for all. He then gathered all of us around and shared so many stories about your many fun times together and how special you were to him throughout your lives. We were charmed by both his great gift of story-telling and his love and pride in his daughter. It was a great day!

Bill Phillips was a dear friend who possessed an infectious laugh, intense loyalty,
and deep wisdom of the human spirit. His humor was wholesome and with a thought out motive to leave a situation in a positive frame of mind. His devotion to Carol, his daughters and their family was pure and firm. Donna and I loved Bill, as did everyone he touched. RIP Bill. Donna and Jim Perry
