Billy Blake, 57, of Midland passed away on July 3, 2013. He was born on September 16, 1955 to Leslie Marvin Blake and Jackie Nakina Robertson in Chickasha, OK. Billy worked as a driller and a tool pusher.
He is preceded in death by his father, step-mother, Peggy Blake and one sister, Laurie Ann Pagett.
Those left behind to honor and cherish his memory is his mother, Nakina Carson of Seminole; his daughter Chrysanda Blake and husband Chris of Midland; his sisters, Kayla Blake and Robert Richards of Midland and Reva K. Langley of Seminole, Texas; his brother, Michael Blake of Granite Shoals, Texas; a granddaughter, Serenity Sisson. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2013 between the hours of 4:00pm and 6:00pm at Ellis Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 3:00pm in the Chapel at Ellis Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.

Billy and I worked together as mud haulers in the oilfield when I was 16 years old. I remember his infectious smile and laughter as if he was just here. Still remember his old pickup truck running on propane which we also used to air up the tires.
You bring a smile to my face as I remember your life through mine. See you when I see you.
