Obituary

Billy Green, 77 of Huntington passed away at 1:30am on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his residence. Billy worked construction for Local 213 for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed IU Basketball. He loved gardening and feeding the birds, picnics at the park and walking their dog Precious. He enjoyed listening to country music. Billy was born on December 4, 1935 in Indian Mound, Tennessee, a son of Willie Lee and Fannie Mae (Kirkland) Green. He was united in marriage to Gail M. Billy Green, 77 of Huntington passed away at 1:30am on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his residence. Billy worked construction for Local 213 for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed IU Basketball. He loved gardening and feeding the birds, picnics at the park and walking their dog Precious. Billy was born on December 4, 1935 in Indian Mound, Tennessee, a son of Willie Lee and Fannie Mae (Kirkland) Green.

He was united in marriage to Gail M. Sledz on December 19, 1969 in Fort Wayne. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons: Ronald D. Green of Huntington; Billy D. Green of Huntington; two daughters: Anita (Jeff) Terhune of Craigville; Brenda (Pat) Flynn of Andrews; a sister: Bessie (Gus) Jackson of Pennville; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 3:00 B 7:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana.

Services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel.

Interment will be at the Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville.

Memorial donations may be made out to Donor=s Choice of Charity in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
