Billy Edgar “Eddie” Thoms, 71, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, January 09, 2018, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services, with military honors, for 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12th, at Restland Cemetery in Roxton with Rev. Fred Fangio officiating. A formal visitation is not scheduled, however, friends may pay respects and sign Eddie’s register book at the funeral home.
Eddie was born Aug. 13, 1946, in Paris. He graduated from Roxton High School in 1964. Following graduation he entered the U. S. Navy, serving in Vietnam. Eddie’s career at Campbell Soup Company spanned thirty years before his retirement.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and country music. Over the years he made many friends and will always be remembered and missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wagner Thoms and his mother, Mary Sue Whitlow Davidson.
Survivors include his sons; Jody Thoms & wife Lourie of Paris and Jason Thoms & wife Michelle of Paris, grandchildren; Alyssa Thoms, Aimee Thoms, Brandon Thoms and Brody Thoms, a great granddaughter; Azaria Robison, his special friend & companion, Joyce Richardson of Paris, a brother; Steve Thoms & wife Cyndee of Paris, nieces & nephews; Stephenie Oglesby & husband Scott and son Jaxon Rader, and Bryan Thoms & wife Lindsay and sons Tripp and Cade along with many friends.
Casket bearers will be: Bryan Thoms, Brandon Thoms, Brody Thoms, Jaxon Rader & Zach Alvord.
