Bobbie G. Lott, 87, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Park Manor South. He served in the U.S. Navy. He joined the Houston Police Department in 1952, Academy Class #8, served as a Homicide Detective, and retired as a Burglary and Theft Detective in 1982 after 30 years of service. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He and his wife Carmen were faithful members of New Life Lutheran Church. Bobbie was born in Slagle, Louisiana to parents Cecil Lott and Della Glass and graduated from Simpson High School in Simpson, LA. He is survived by his wife Carmen of 23 years, son Daryl Lott (Becky), daughter Cynthia Lott, son Bobby Duayn Lott (Tara), daughter Stephenie Martinez (Erick), son John Southerland, son-in-law Jerry Abarca, step-daughter Robin Scott (Dale), 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Bobbie is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Della Glass Lott, brother Cecil Lee Lott, daughter Christi Abarca, and grandson Charles Lott. Visitation will be in the Colonial Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale from 5-8PM on Wednesday, October 25th. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Thursday, October 26th at New Life Lutheran Church, 3521 E. Orange St. Pearland, TX. Interment will be at Forest Park Lawndale after the service and the Reception will follow at the funeral home in Holland Hall.
