Obituary

Bobby Dee Merscham, 77, of Mountainburg, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the VA hospital in Fayetteville. He was born March 13, 1937 in Garnett, Kan. to the late Rollie and Shirley Lane Merscham during one of the biggest snow storms in the State's history. He grew up in Richmond, Kan. and graduated from Richmond High School. Bob joined the U.S. Air Force, and served for many years as an airplane mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Dana, and a sister, Dale Eileen. He was a good friend and neighbor. Bobby Dee Merscham, 77, of Mountainburg, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the VA hospital in Fayetteville. He was born March 13, 1937 in Garnett, Kan. to the late Rollie and Shirley Lane Merscham during one of the biggest snow storms in the State's history. He grew up in Richmond, Kan. and graduated from Richmond High School. Bob joined the U.S. Air Force, and served for many years as an airplane mechanic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Dana, and a sister, Dale Eileen. He was a good friend and neighbor.

Bob married Tila Morales in Del Rio, Texas in 1960, and later divorced. Bob and Sylvia Casteel were married in Ottawa, Kan. in 1963, and later divorced. He married Dana Potter Kickoley, and moved to Arkansas in 1976. Dana passed away in 2005.

He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Stover and husband Ralph of Williamsburg, Kan., and Rebecca Merscham of Ottawa, Kan.; a son, Ralph Merscham and wife Thelma of Del Rio, Texas; two sisters, Shirley Anne Reeves of Richmond, Kan., and Donna Stahl and husband John of Williamsburg, Kan., six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in
Fayetteville, Ark.
