Bobbye Louise Parham
September 2, 1938 – December 1, 2016
Dedicated to her role as wife, mother, sister and friend.
Protective of the ones she loved most.
Giving of her time, energy and “opinion” (whether or not it was requested.)
Bobbye Louise Evatt was born on September 2, 1938 in Ralls, Texas. As a young girl, her parents helped shape the character others would come to know by teaching her the difference between right and wrong and the importance of being reliable and dependable. Bobbye quickly grew into a confident and outspoken young woman who fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Foy V. Parham. Wedding bells began to ring on June 29, 1957, and the two began a life together in the cow-town city of Fort Worth.
On February 3, 1962, Bobbye and Foy welcomed a son, Kent Gregory Parham, who soon became their pride and joy. Over the next several years, in addition to her role as Kent Parham fan club president, Bobbye took on the role of book keeper for The Camera Shop photography store, as well as administrative roles for the Forth Worth Independent School District. Her earnest sensibilities and strong character made her one of a kind.
After retiring, she lived a quiet and simple life but remained protective of her family and friends and always ready to offer her opinion. In addition, she became CEO of the Parham Household and took special care to ensure her senior most employee (aka, husband Foy) was well taken care of.
Bobbye Louise Parham left this earth peacefully on December 1, 2016, at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Foy V. Parham of Forth Worth, Texas. She is also survived by her son Kent Gregory Parham and son-in-law Stephen Wayne Boysen, of Nashville, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Rubye Evatt and brother, Kenneth Evatt, of Stephenville, Texas.
Visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Forth Worth on Saturday, December 3, beginning at 1 p.m. with graveside gathering to follow at 3:30 p.m.
