As a very young teacher, Bonnie made sure I had everything I needed to be successful. She was supportive and genuinely cared about the school, the teachers, and especially the students. My most fond memory of Bonnie is of her great sense of humor. One year I had made turkeys out of pine cones with my students and displayed them in the hallway. When December rolled around and they were still out there, she lined them up, put a red nose on the front turkey and put Santa and his sleigh behind them.

The most caring and giving woman, who always thought of others. In addition to the qualities listed, she was also one terrific aunt. She will be missed by all of us. Florence is probably getting her set up for harp lessons....

My heart was broken this morning to read that Bonnie passed on. I have so many happy memories of her in my life. As my 5th grade teacher at Kleis school, as my "employer" (babysitting Bret & Ayn) and as my friend. May God give you the strength to get through this and may you find peace in knowing that some day you will be reunited with her.
One important lesson I learned from Bonnie is to laugh at the things in your life. So, in her memory, share stories and laugh about them. I can still hear her infectious laugh and it makes me smile.
