Funeral service for Mrs. Bonnie Clifton Minton Dobbs, 97, will be held at 11am on Tuesday December 12, 2017 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Dr. Robert Ford and Rev. James Cohorn officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10am until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Dobbs passed away Friday at NHC Healthcare after a long battle wih Alzheimer's Disease.
Mrs. Dobbs is survived by her daughters, Gail Byers of Atlanta and Christie Dobbs Williams (Keith) of Oxford; grandchildren Ryan Williams, Cory Williams, Kevin Byers (Jane), Kim Byers, and Kelly Kirk; six great-grandchildren; brother Joseph Minton; and sisters Frances Timmons and Katherine Fowler.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Dobbs; sisters Jewel Childers and Alice Edna Steward; and brother Jack Minton.
Mrs. Dobbs was a native of Piedmont, Alabama but moved to Anniston after marriage. She was retired from Bellsouth where she worked for 30 years and was a member of Blue Mountain Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Connie Mack Dobbs, Tom Collins, Kevin Byers, Ryan Williams, and Cory Williams.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org/donate .
The family would like to send a special thank you to Daniel Wade (Director of Nurses) and the nurses and CNAs on the special needs unit at NHC Healthcare and also thank you to Alacare Hospice and Susan Sikes.

Dear Dobbs family and friends, please accept my deepest condolences. Know that the God of all comfort feels your pain and sorrow. Isaiah 61:1, 2 tells us that He sent Jesus to bind up the broken-hearted and to comfort all who mourn." Reading the bible regularly can help you to deal with your pain and sorrow.
