97, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2017, in Tampa Florida. Bonnie Evans was a resident of Tampa Florida since 1953. She lived there with her husband, Everett B Evans and where deeply committed to the community.
Mrs. Evans was born July 15, 1919 in Charleston WV to the parents of Flenn and Icy Koontz. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1935 and went on to study Business Administration at Morris Harvey College in Charleston WV.
She is survived by a loving family and numerous long time friends, including her children, Gary Evans, Vicki Evans Carreno, and Frances Evans Doling. She has five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Mrs Evans lost her love of her life, Everett Evans in 1994. She never remarried.
Mrs Evans, a founder and charter member, of the Westshore Christian Church. Both she and her husband were very active ad committed to their faith and church body. Mrs. Evans was a member of Mystic Chapter no 110 O.E.F. She was Worthy Matron in 1972. She was a member of the Daughter of the Nile, Elim Temple No 76. She severed as Queen in 1965. She was also an active member of the Lady’s of the White Shrine.
Funeral Services will be held at Blount and Curry’s Funeral Home on MacDill Av. Viewing on May 15, 06:00 to 08:00PM. Funeral Service, May 16 at 11:00AM. Burial at Garden of Memories to follow.
