Bonnie Lee Stockard (Kimble), 88, of Auburn Hills, passed away Thursday September 28, 2017. Loving wife of Robert Stockard for 71 years; dear mother of Bonnie F. Stockard, Bettie (fiancé' Alok Gupta) Tucker, and Lonnie (fiancée' Renee Byrd) Stockard; cherished grandmother of Arlene and Brian (Cathy) Tucker and great-grandmother to Justin, Eric and Philip Tucker, Zachary Born, and Jade Fischer; caring sister of Gloria (Bill) Kruckenburg, sister-in-law to Marjean Kimble; predeceased by her brother, Robert L. Kimble, Jr.
Bonnie was born the daughter of Robert and Cecilia (Gable) Kimble in Florence, Alabama on May 24, 1929. She married Robert Stockard on June 15, 1946 in Florence, Alabama. Bonnie was a member of the Eagles club and American Legion. Bowling was one of her favorite pastimes along with gardening, reading, and crafts.
The family will welcome friends for a visitation on Tuesday October 3rd, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home 3530 Auburn Rd, Auburn Hills Michigan. Interment to follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie's honor to Vietnam Veterans of America ( https://vva.org ).

My memories are all the times I have spent with Mrs. Stockard on bowling trips or just hanging at her house. She was like a second mom. I will miss the eleven o clock calls on New Year Eve. But she will always be in my heart. May God bless her family in this time of sorrow.
