Beemster, Bonnie L
Age 68. Of Mequon Wisconsin and Merritt Island Florida. Passed away peacefully on September 8, 2016 at her home in Florida. Preceded in death by her parents, George VanNostrand and Ruth Smerz (nee Pond), her stepfather Norman Smerz and stepsister Mary Piper (nee Smerz).
Wife of 33 years to Bernard Beemster, mother to Carie (Terry) Tesch and Deborah (Jim) Reed, step-mother to John (Kimberley) Beemster and David (Melanie) Beemster. Beloved sister of Sue (Mike) Dunphy, Vicki (Ralph) Bellore, Shelley (Doug) Graf and Cindee (Bruce) Mundt. Grandmother of Loren Lindemann, Madison Lindemann, Matthew Reed and Rhianna Reed. Bonnie was born in Birmingham, Alabama and graduated from John Marshall HS in Milwaukee. She worked for many years as a purchasing agent at Autotrol Corporation in Glendale WI, Cedarburg Lumber in Grafton WI and Applied Spectrometry Associates in Waukesha WI. At age 50 she returned to school and earned an Associate's Degree in Dietary Science at MATC. Acting on her passion for food, she founded a business specializing in catering and personal chef services, Bon Chef, having previously won many ribbons for various food products at the Wisconsin State Fair, including the blue ribbon for barbeque sauce in 2005. She was also a volunteer on the Ozaukee County crisis hotline, an active member of Christ Church in Mequon, and an avid sports fan and pet lover, until her illnesses prevented her from being active in the community and in the pursuit of her passions.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life service, at the American Legion Post 457 in Mequon, WI on October 1 at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to the ASPCA in her memory.

Hi Bonnie: I will truly miss you! I'm so glad we reconnected after my re-location and I was able to spend quality time with you. I was getting ready to see you again in Florida come October as we saw one another last March, early April, along with Cindee from Autotrol at our favorite spot on the beach. But, you left in a hurry and I didn't say goodbye but I will say,"Hola Bonnita, que pasa?, my welcome hello to you forever, and only to you. God bless and lots of love and kisses.
