Bonnie Alexander, 72 and a longtime resident of Morgan City, born to Elmore and Mildred Robicheaux, on November 11, 1938 will be dearly missed. Bonnie went home to be with her Lord and Savior in Sulphur, LA on February 4, 2011.
Bonnie was above all, a born again believer. She loved Jesus with all her heart, soul, and strength. She was the perfect depiction of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Bonnie gave of her time and resources every chance she could. She always enjoyed a cup of coffee and a good conversation with whomever came to her door. Bonnie loved family gatherings and having a hot meal ready for her family at a moment's notice.
Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a large glorious family. Her son Bryan and his wife Joyce Alexander, daughters Tracy and her husband Christopher Mixon, Christa and her husband William Wright, she also leaves behind a sister Judy Mayon and husband Danny. Her grandchildren include Bradley Alexander, Steve Barousse, Kelly Alexander, Bethany Nelson, Bonnie LeDoux, Corey LeDoux and Shelby Wright. Her great grandchildren include Stevie, Colin, Brady, and Oliver Clyde.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Clyde Alexander, her parents Elmore and Mildred Robicheaux, and her brother Bobbie Robicheaux.
A time of remembrance and reflection will be Monday February 7, 2011 at Hargrave Funeral Home beginning at 5 pm until 9 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 9 am until 2 pm at the Funeral Home. A home going celebration of a life well lived will begin at 2 pm in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel. Bonnie will be laid to rest immediately following in the Morgan City Cemetery.
