Richard and I taught with Bonnie at Marietta Junior High School in the 70's and 80's.
We always enjoyed her sense of humor and outlook on teaching.
We had been keeping in touch at Christmas time and were sad to hear of her declining health.
Bonnie was a very special lady.
With deepest sorrow and sympathy,

Mrs. Bagwell was my art teacher at the Marietta Junior High in the early 1980's. She was such a sweet, wonderful woman. There are many memories running through my mind right now...all of them making me smile...but I think my favorite has to be when we did an art show filled with our pottery collections. Mrs. Bagwell always saw the students who loved art, such as myself, and made us feel special. She always gave a gentle push for us to do more than what we might have normally given. While creating my pieces of pottery I chose to make small animals..turtles, ladybugs, dogs, etc. At the art show she placed my animals inside clear plastic boxes to "protect" them. I really thought I was special...lol. I still have some of these critters...the green turtle with the black top hat sits on my desk as my favorite paper weight. I have continued my love for art for all these years, and I hope she would be pleased to know I too chose it as a career path. Thank you Mrs. Bagwell! What you gave me is a beautiful gift. Not one that can be purchased, but one I have carried in my heart for decades. You were loved and will be missed.

Mrs. Bagwell was my art teacher in middle school in Marietta, Ohio in the mid 80's. I used to stay after class and help her clean the art room. At the end of the year she gave me a blue glass Fenton bunny for helping her throughout the year. The bunny now sits on a bookshelf in my dining room and everytime i look at it i think of her. She was a wonderful, patient teacher, and one i will always remember.

I remember the wedding in 1952. I was running around with my cousins. I was so happy Uncle Larry found such a nice lady to get married to. I don't remember when I was any happier for him. He had lived with us in East Lansing while he finished his education and graduated from Michigan State University, and was happy when he met Bonnie. I am so glad they are together now. We know they are in a wonderful place all together. I am happy my brother Paul Bagwell and his wife will be able to represent me and the rest of the family in honoring the life of our Aunt Bonnie a very dear person we will miss dearly.

I really admired your parents, Dana. I remember you telling us about all your great family trips and what an awesome childhood you all had. Reading the above you can rest assured that your mom had a good and full life. I know she was well-loved. I'm sure you will treasure her last days and it will bring comfort to know her family was with her at the end. Prayers and love are sent your way. Take care. Sandy (Shaw) Newcomb (Akron, OH)
