We are saddened to hear about the loss of someone so real. I say "real" because Bo would tell it as it was. The first time I met him, he was bigger than life. I was almost intimidated, but quickly realized that the big teddy bear was carefully under the watchful eyes of his beloved Jackie. We are sorry for your loss. We will be donating to the heart and stroke foundation in lieu of flowers. Sorry we could not be with you all, but know that we are thinking about you. All our love. Adrienne, Jim, Cameron, and Spencer McEwen.

Passing along our deepest sympathies to the Elik family. Bo was a dynamic individual, always Fun to be in his company at the NHL Oldtimers monthly lunch. We'll miss his great sense of humour. I met & played hockey with Bo on the NHL Oldtimers thru my Father, Harry Watson. He was a always a tough competitor.

I want to extend my condolences to the Elik family. I worked at a Car Dealership in North Bay in the late 90s and Bo was a driver for an automobile transportation company. Whenever he landed in North Bay, he always had a smile on even in minus 30 temperatures and always carried a great attitude.

I feel blessed to have met and spent time with this man, this GREAT man, at the Marwood Restaurant of all places. Had many good times together over past 15 years. I remember he didn't know his own strength cause he would bring me to my knees with his strong handshake. Then there was the gentler side with his warm hug hello. He use to get me to print out all his pictures and stories of his past with the Red Wings for all those that luved him so. For his 80th birthday I made up a birthday poster with him in a Maple Leaf jersey. I was so afraid he wouldn't take it well...Detroit player and all. But of course with his sense of humor there was no problem what so ever. I already miss you Bo!!!! My sincerest sympathy to the family. Remember the good times! I know I will. Luv Sam Wildman
